New blog: Language and Culture

Our third new blog category will feature all aspects of language use and culture – and how they connect.

As we announced on August 2nd, we’ve created three new blogs. Our Translation, Interpretation and Localization blog focuses on the three main language services that Language Translation, Inc. offers. The Medical Translation and Interpretation blog takes an in-depth look at one of our specialties.

And on this blog, Language and Culture, I’ll be analyzing other language-related issues that have a direct or indirect effect on our industry.

From language learning methods to cultural differences to language-related technology, this blog will examine questions of interest to anyone who has to deal with foreign languages and culture – and these days, that means just about everyone.

This is the place to come for the widest range of topics, and to put it more personally, writing it is going to be just plain fun. Here are a few examples of favorite past posts that would now fall under this category:

· Language and travel: the advantages of picture books

· Examples of “Chinglish”

· Should American English be adopted worldwide?

At Language Translation, Inc., we’re excited about this new blog category designed to reach out to readers both within and outside of the language industry.
